CHRISTOPHER MCCANDLESS INTO THE WILD: WHY HE ISN'T TO BLAME IN ANY TRUE OR DEEP SENSE. What is free will and why is understanding that human beings don't have free will is for the betterment of mankind? Christopher Mccandless from Into The Wild Movie was all about finding beauty and truth in the world.

"Rather than love, than money, than fame, give me truth."
— Henry David Thoreau

Christopher Mccandless was created for the entire world that is living in a time of unprecedented challenge and opportunity. May your understanding and acceptance that free will is an illusion help you navigate all you will face not from a place of divisive blame, seething hatred, poisonous envy, or deadly retribution.....but from a place of compassion, understanding, cooperation, and from a more evolved state of consciousness grounded in undeniable and unflinching truth. Make no mistake about it – the belief in free will is false and very harmful.

If you were born Chris Mccandless of the movie INTO THE WILD, you would have been Christopher Mccandless and walked INTO THE WILD and would have felt and acted the same exact way (his nature and nurture). You too would have walked INTO THE WILD. You too would have died there (if you were born him). You would have had Chris Mccandless' same exact desires, knowledge, intelligence, and consciousness and you wouldn't have been able to do or be otherwise. The false belief in free will desperately needs to be challenged and eventually put to rest once and for all (it's about time and long overdue).

Once we all understand that there is no such thing as free will, we can still fear people, but we will no longer be able to logically hate other people (and therefore no longer deeply blame someone for their actions no matter how irresponsible they may appear to be). I know many people have criticized Chris Mccandless' Into The Wild journey as being irresponsible, callous, unprepared, arrogant, and too idealistic, but he could not have done otherwise. Christopher Mccandless was who he was and if you were born Christopher Mccandless, you would have been Christopher Mccandless. He could not have done otherwise. Plain and simple.

To tell another person what they should or should not have done in any give situation (and with the benefit of hindsight) is completely incoherent because you are not privy to that other person's unique version of the pleasure principle.

Christopher Mccandless was all about the discovery of truth and beauty in the world and this is why his name is being linked to this great truth being revealed here on this website – which is.

HUMAN BEINGS DO NOT HAVE FREE WILL! Christopher Mccandless was completely compelled by everything that had ever happen to him previously and his genetics (nature and nurture) to do what he did. Free will is nowhere to be found. Amen.

He was a slave to his own personal and unique version of the pleasure principle. We all are. We have no choice in the matter.

Not being forced by another human being to do something or wanting to do something all on our own does not give mankind free will. So even though Christopher Mccandless hiked into the wild without anyone forcing him to do so still does not give him (or anyone for that matter) free will.

Yes people make choices. They just aren't "free" choices. Free meaning independent of one's nature and nurture (genetics and environment).

We can choose our desires but we cannot control or choose what we desire. We can choose our preferences but we cannot control or choose what we prefer. We can choose our wants but we cannot control of choose what we want. Amen.

I am quite sure if Christopher Mccandless were alive today, he'd be quite happy to know there is a website equally devoted to the truth about reality as he was.

This is why Chris McCandless often quoted his favorite author Thoreau ...

"Rather than love, than money, than fame, give me truth."
— Henry David Thoreau

Open Letters

Dear Christopher Mccandless Site Visitors,

When will this topic (man's will is not free) finally get the press it deserves? Why is there no movie or CNN debate show about this topic? When will openly refuting free will not be taboo and so politically incorrect? Enough is enough already with this free will nonsense!
To all the religious people finding this website -- You can quote all the scripture you want and none of it will ever give man free will. Please stop harming society with the non-sense that is free will with your own motivated reasoning (wishful thinking). All free will does is cause deep guilt, deep blame, and deep hatred. Christopher Mccandless was all about truth and clarity and that is why I have created this website. I believe there is no greater truth to be discovered than for us to understand that man's will is not free.

When people finally realize that man's will is not free, it does in fact excuse you from not knowing things that weren't in your genetics or conditioning (nature and nurture).....such as how to safely hike into the Alaskan wild and out of it. How can you deeply blame someone for something who could not have done or known otherwise? How can you deeply blame someone for something that they just didn't know or weren't aware of? Same is true for the parents of Christopher Mccandless.

Biggest Elephant In Room

*Elephant in the room is an English metaphorical idiom for an obvious truth that is either being ignored or going unaddressed. The idiomatic expression also applies to an obvious problem or risk no one wants to discuss. It is based on the idea that an elephant in a room would be impossible to overlook; thus, people in the room who pretend the elephant is not there have chosen to avoid dealing with the looming big issue.

Book Info:

The Bible: No Free Will is a revolutionary book about how man's will is not free. Please note the following: New truth is often uncomfortable. This is especially true for the holders of power the new truth threatens. New truth is often looked at as blasphemy. Amen.

Back cover blurb:

Let's face it. There will be nothing bigger than the forthcoming Free Will vs No Free Will debate. This topic is now finally starting to hit the mainstream. According to this new kind of BIBLE, HUMAN BEINGS DO NOT HAVE FREE WILL. The implications of this bombshell discovery will shatter how people go about their lives and will be talked about everywhere all the time for there is no more important topic. Free Will is a faulty belief/premise and as human beings we must own up to the fact that we've got it all wrong. Amen.

Going Forward:

What would I like to see happen?

I would be happy if we could finally start talking about this issue in public. As politically incorrect as it may be, if we don't start talking about how man's will is not free openly and honestly then we are failing ourselves and our planet. Our species will one day understand all that is written here, the only question now is when? Please refrain from verbally attacking me when you contact me about my book The Bible: No Free Will and/or the contents of this website. We can cordially agree to disagree but part of the problem with the no free will movement getting underway is that I often feel I have to live in fear and not tell anyone that I absolutely do not believe in free will. For whatever reason, many people (especially religious people) get very upset with me when I try to tell them this truth and natural law of being a human being. Emotions seem to run very high with this issue and unfortunately that causes the inability to have a rational public debate about this very important issue (which we now desperately need). There are two sides to every story and it's now time to hear the truth about man's will not being free. Amen.

Please pass this book to another person if you understand why showing the world that free will doesn't exist will be the biggest thing ever to evolve the consciousness of our species.

If you for some reason cannot appreciate the importance of this work, then I will not blame you for your will is not free.

Law and Order will not break down with the advent of the knowledge contained in this book.

Actions will always still have consequences (pragmatic "blame" and pragmatic "accountability" and pragmatic so-called "responsibility")...however...

THOU SHALL NOT FUNDAMENTALLY BLAME

Refutations / Benefits

Some Examples of Simplistic Free Will Refutations

(The Bible: No Free Will goes into much more detail)

Refutations

  1. You Couldn't Have Done Otherwise.
  2. You were/are always doing the best you can at the time.
  3. Cause and Effect (Causality). There is only one causal chain.
  4. Who would be depressed or angry if they had free will?
  5. You could have been born someone else and had their consciousness (no ultimate moral responsibility).
  6. If God knows everything, free will is impossible.
  7. Free Will implies choices are 50/50 and that we have no preferences.
  8. We cannot make a decision outside of Nature and Nurture.
  9. We have a subconscious and an unconscious.
  10. We did not self – cause ourselves (we are not first causers). We did not create ourselves and therefore are part of a causal chain of events.
  11. Quantum Indeterminacy or randomness does not give us free will.
  12. Either Determinism or Indeterminism is true and neither gives us free will.
  13. Pleasure Principle (we have no choice but to always attempt to go towards pleasure and away from pain).
  14. Life is unpredictable. Unpredictability does not equal free will. Just because you cannot predict something does not mean it is not predetermined. There are too many variables to calculate.
  15. We do not get to choose such things as our personality, sensitivities, intelligence, or our consciousness.
  16. If we had free will, who would freely choose evil? Why not freely choose to be a perfect angel all the time?
  17. We can choose our preferences, but we cannot choose what we prefer.
  18. We can choose our desires, but we cannot choose what we desire.
  19. We can choose our wants, but we cannot choose what we want.
  20. Everything is a conditioned response based on our personal history.
